I am honored to serve as Assistant Principal at Robbinsville High School, a place that has been central to both my professional journey and personal identity since I began here in 2009 as a special education teacher. Over the years, I have had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues while growing as an educator and leader within this community. Returning full time to RHS in this role feels especially meaningful, as it is a school that has shaped who I am and continues to inspire my commitment to education.

Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of leadership roles, including Supervisor and Assistant Director of Student Services, where I developed a strong foundation in curriculum, staff development, compliance, and student-centered problem solving. My work has consistently focused on supporting diverse learners, strengthening systems of support, and ensuring equitable opportunities for all students. After several years in administration, I had the honor to return to the classroom to reconnect with the daily student experience. That opportunity reinforced my belief in the importance of visible, empathetic, and engaged leadership within a school building.

I am deeply committed to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture where all students feel seen, supported, and empowered. During my time at RHS, I have advised the Executive Council, helped establish the “Clash of the Classes” tradition, and served on numerous committees focused on school safety, equity, and student well-being. I believe strongly in being present for our school community, whether during the school day or at extracurricular events, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships that support the success and well-being of every member of our Ravens community.

Meet Mrs. Benavidas, Assistant Principal

I am honored to join the Robbinsville High School community as an Assistant Principal and look forward to partnering with students, families, staff, and the community to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

With more than 20 years in education, I have spent my career building meaningful relationships and putting students at the center of every decision. After 10 years as a classroom teacher, where I focused on student growth, family partnerships, and celebrating student success both in and out of the classroom, I served the next 10 years as an Assistant Principal. In that role, I worked to foster a culture where every member of the school community feels heard, respected, and valued.

I believe that trust, transparency, and authentic relationships are the foundation of strong schools. As a visible and approachable leader, I am committed to working alongside our dedicated staff to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where all students can reach their fullest potential.

I earned both my bachelor's and master's degree from New Jersey City University and a doctorate from Rowan University. Outside of school, I am the proud parent of three adult children. I am excited to become part of the Robbinsville High School family and look forward to all we will accomplish together.
